post Keys per minute plugin for pidgin

September 26th, 2009

Filed under: pidgin plugins — admin @ 5:34 pm

Some time ago I've created a plugin for pidgin which counts the keystrokes per minute while you are typing a message and displays the value. It also creates a small statistic over it.

Source (Linux & Windows) + Binaries (Windows only): keysperminute.zip

  1. You could use http://pidginplugins.teamblind.de/ to spread it into the world. :)

  4. Hello and thanks for this plugin, it give some interesting information. Any chance you could make an option to show “words per minute” instead of keys per minute?

    Thanks!

  5. I could do that. I’m planning on updating it soon anyway so I could also add the option to show words per minute.

  7. I am having the same problem as Piccolle. It says that I need 2.4.x, and I have 2.6.x. Im using Windows XP, so maybe its just a problem with XP. Too bad, I thought this would be neat. I havnt taken a typing test in a long time, so I was hoping to get an idea of how fast I go anymore.

  11. Comment withdrawn. Unzips fine now. Three previous attempts failed. Packet loss I despise you! (my connection is shared with the office VOIP).

  14. Hi. How does this work? The unzipped file only contains a smail file with no extension. How can I get it into Pidgin/Windows? I renamed it as a .dll, but that didn’t work.

    I appreciate your help.

    Thanks.
